Rolling the Handle on HS 180's (or other tricks where you land switch)- w/Travis Moye |
![]() |
Rolling
the handle on Heelside 180s A simple way to remedy this is simply be rolling the handle over at the finish of the trick. Instead of landing with the handle flat (palm facing the water), simply roll the handle over to where your knuckles are facing the water. This naturally pushes your right shoulder down (regular foot) and over your toes. Once you've
done it a few times you can make it less and less pronounced and will
just naturally be landing over your board and leaning on the line. And
remember this works on anything heelside where you are landing fakie (heelside
5, roll to revert, front to fakie, etc.) |
