Heelside Front Flip w/ Shawn Keeler |
| Front Flips are sometimes easier for some people than others. But never the less, it a fun move to get familiar with. Fronts are a great move to take off the double up and go huge. What a lot of people don't realize is that this move is done in more of a cartwheel motion rather than a flip. This is also a good trick to have under belt, because there are so many tricks that come from this move such as; Slim Chance, Front to Revert, and you can change it up by throwing in some grabs. | |
| 1. Start out with a
normal progressive edge in towards the wake. You don't have to rail into
the wake and generate a lot of speed. Usually, when riders come in with to
much speed they tend to slow the rotation down causing them not to get all
the way around. |
|
| 2. Once you get to the wake, make sure you keep your progressive edge all the way up through the wake. As your back foot comes through the wake push down hard. At the same time duck your front ear towards your front shoulder to start the cartwheel motion. | |
| 3. As your doing
your cartwheel keep your elbows in close to your sides, and keep tension
on the rope so you will be able to rotate all the way around. |
|
| 4. When coming around look for the landing, and get those knees ready to absorb the shock. When doing your front flip you will notice that you will be able to spot your landing a little earlier than other moves. |
