Here are a couple options
for building your perfect wake this summer. Remember... the main thing
you are sacrificing when you add extra weight to your boat is maneuverability.
The more weight you add, the less your boat will respond. So, keep this
in mind. It is a small price you pay for having a giant wake to launch
from.

1. Fillable bladders- The
ORIGINAL Fat Sac, Phat
Budde, Fake-A-Wake,
The Sack,
LetsGoRide,
Phat Boy
Good- A somewhat inexpensive way to add some weight to your boat
and customize your wake every time you ride.
Not So Good- Depending on number of sacs to fill, could cut a half hour
to an hour out of your day, you lose quite a bit of storage and passenger
space.

2. "Large-Boned" Friends- Jenny
Craig , Weight
Watchers
Good- You don't lose storage space to fat sacs or lead plates
Not So Good- You lose storage space to Cheese Puffs and Oatmeal Cremes.

3. Plastic dipped LEAD- Leadheadz
Good- Most weight for least amount of space sacrificed
Not So Good- You have to transport this weight along with your boat,
a hard turn results in purple toes.

4. Automatic Ballast Systems-
Good- Easy way to add weight to your boat... flip a switch, adjustable
every time
Not So Good- $$$, loss of storage space

5. Water bed PVC bladders- available from your local waterbed
store...
Good- will hold alot of water, you can take a comfortable nap when you're
done riding.
Bad- SPACE, SPACE, SPACE

6. Cement/Sand Bags- available at your local hardware store/Home
Depot
Good- It's weight
Not So Good- Your mobile home isn't level any more.

7. Barbells/Dumbells- cover some 50-75 lb. dumbells in carpet
and place them in your boat where you need a little extra weight.
Good- You can put the weight exactly where you want it.
Not So Good- That muscle head from the gym chasing you down the boat
dock!!!
