2008 WN.com Official Tow Boat is HERE...
The boat is here and I am pumped... not so pumped about the fact that it still is at least a month and a half from getting any use. Just going up to the shop at Valley and getting to sit in it was enough to get me by for a little more time. This boat is gonna be a real head turner on the water.
Malibu's fit and finish in their boats are second to none. Lots of billet and stainless work throughout the boat that just screams BLING! I LOVE their interior- the seats are super comfortable. Next time you're at the boat show go sit in all the competitors boats and then come down to the Malibu booth and sit. You'll see what I am talking about. The dash is leather wrapped all the way around!!! LED lights throughout the boat- there are even LED's installed under the swim platform to cast a cool looking glow from under the boat. I'm a technology nerd, so you know I dig the cockpit. There's a built in 1GB Hard Drive, so I can actually store my music ON the boat or plug in to the iPod control port. Rockford Fosgate speakers and sub. Custom presets that will remember ballast position, power wedge position, and speed of the entire crew. The Illusion tower not only looks tight, but it is nice when you are driving to not have any blind spots- especially when picking up a fallen rider out on Woodcliff on a busy weekend afternoon. What's the wake like??? I've ridden behind alot of different Wakesetter VLX, and thing that I like the most is that the wake is the same, no matter whose boat we're behind- which means it is super predictable. The shape is great- not too steep and not too long. It's a great wake for wake to wake tricks, but has the kick to take you well out into the flats if that's where you wanna be. Well after typing all that, I really wanna go out and ride now...
Anyway, stop in at Valley Marine to check out the boat for yourself and also all the other VLX's they have in stock. Be sure to stop down to check out the boat at the Omaha Boat Sports and Travel Show March 6-9. We'll be down there all weekend. And in case you were wondering- yes... this boat will be for sale at the end of the season if you are looking to get a smokin' deal on a demo boat. I just got back from a film trip to Orlando and had a chance to hang and ride with Kyle quite a bit while I was there. Let's just say the move to Florida has done him well!!! Watch for Kyle as he makes his rookie debut on the Pro Wakeboard Tour this year...
